A large amount of solid waste is illegally thrown into the environment, lack of specific disposal areas, and insufficient recycling and management systems are defects that lead to environmental degradation. With these issues in mind, the purpose of this article is to study the technical and general aspects of construction and demolition waste management in the Republic of Cape Verde, especially in Praia, and analyze important factors to better understand the problems and seek solutions. This study was constructed using the construction management waste research method in Praia County, Republic of Cape Verde. As the results shown, the law on construction waste is not clear yet and can be interpreted in many ways because its characteristics cannot effectively specify and classify so-called waste. A specific construction and demolition plan is required.
