So far, the distribution and changes of nitrogen forms in reservoirs as drinking water sources are still unclear, and further research is needed. Therefore, the paper took the reservoir TS in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, China as an example to analyze the distribution characteristics of nitrogen forms in the reservoir and its temporal and spatial changes. From April 2014 to January 2016, we sampled the water quality and Nutritional level. According to the monitoring data of water body nutrition level, the comprehensive nutrition status index of the reservoir was calculated. The conclusion shows that the reservoir as a source of drinking water may have the necessary self-purification capacity to reduce nutrient pollution.
